Review of the Arbonne Foundation, Concealer & Highlighter

I have recently seen the Arbonne brand show up on a lot of my favorite blogs so was delighted when I was offered the opportunity to try some of their products.

Arbonne is a brand that I have never tried before so I did a bit of research on their website to find out a bit more about the company and their products. According to their website, their focus on developing products that incorporate botanical ingredients and are free from parabens, phthalates and talc.

I am always on the lookout for a new foundation so it is no surprise that I chose to try out one of the Arbonne perfecting liquid foundations. As you can see from my beauty profile, I usually wear the shade Mac NC 20 (without tanner). The corresponding shade in the Arbonne range is 'Buff' and I was delighted to see that it suited my skin tone perfectly! The foundation comes in convenient plastic packaging which is great for clumsy girls like myself as I am always unintentionally breaking something. It also comes with a pump dispenser which is not only hygienic but also reduces product wastage. I found that two pumps provided me the perfect amount of product.

This foundation has a beautifully light formula which is so easy to apply and blend into the skin. I like the fact that it contains SPF 15+ and some anti-ageing ingredients in there as well as an added bonus. I found that this foundation provides a light to medium coverage. Having said that, it is buildable so you can achieve more coverage with it as well if you wish. Unlike some other products I have tried, this foundation does not feel or look ‘cakey’. I found that it has quite good staying power as it lasted an entire day without too many issues, although my oily nose and t-zone did get a bit shiny by the end of the day. I found that I needed to touch up on my nose but that is not unusual for me. Ofcourse setting the foundation with your favourite powder helps the product last even longer and I would highly recommend it if you don’t already do that.

I would say that this product is more suited to someone with dry to normal skin types. I think that if you have very oily skin then this foundation would not be the best choice for you as it would probably require a lot of touching up. Even though I have relatively sensitive skin and suffer from eczema, I am happy to report that this product did not cause me any breakouts.

Overall I think this is a lovely foundation and I enjoyed using it as part of my daily routine. It retails at $55 and you can find out more about it here.

The next Arbonne product which I tried was their creme concealer in the light shade. Just like other Arbonne products, this one also comes in very sleek and shiny packaging which is pleasing on the eye. This concealer is beautifully creamy, easy to blend and you don’t need too much of it in order to get the job done. It provides a medium coverage so it is not heavy and is perfect for those of us who like a more natural finish.

Even though I enjoyed using this product, I was not as impressed with it as I was with the foundation. The main reason being that it tends to settle into the fine lines when applied to under eye area. I found that this happened even when I set it with translucent powder.

The concealer retails at $32 and you can find it here.

Finally, the last product that I tried was the sheer glow highlighter. This product is easy to apply and blend into the skin since the formula is just right - not too runny or too thick. The tube packaging  also makes it super easy to dispense a precise amount of product without wastage.

Don’t let the colour of the packaging fool you, this product will not make you look white. Rather, it will give your skin subtle, pearl glow without depositing any colour. It has good staying power and lasts all day when it is set with a translucent powder.

Since the product does not deposit any colour, I think that it would suit any skin tone beautifully. I like how it does not leave your skin looking too shiny or glittery so you can wear it during the day. A little will go a long way with this product so I think that the 30ml tube is a great size and will last ages.

The sheer glow highlighter retails at $56 and can be found here.

Have you tried any Arbonne products? What did you think of them?

Disclaimer: The Arbonne foundation, concealer and highlighter were kindly sent to me for consideration to review. I was not paid for my review nor am I affiliated with the company in any way. My 100% honest opinion, as always :)

Great reviews. And love your pics too!! I also recently trialled some Arbonne products including the foundation, which I really loved. That was the first time I'd ever tried their products, and in fact, before I'd never heard of them!!
