Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System

Hi lovelies! I hope that you have had a fabulous start to the new year. I am currently on holidays so I have been enjoying catching up on doing all the things that I don't normally have time to do with a full time job.

Today I want to talk about a new gadget that has hit the market recently - the Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System. This looks like a much more affordable alternative to the ever so popular Clarisonic so I thought that I would share my thoughts on it.

If you have been looking for a quality cleanser but don't want to part with $200 then this is perfect for you! This cleanser not only costs a fraction of the price of the Clarisonic but the results are comparable.

I like the fact that the product comes in a box containing everything you need in order to use the product straight away (that includes batteries!). It comes with easy to read instruction sheet, one brush head, the electronic cleansing tool itself and a 20ml bottle of olay skin renewal cleanser. I must admit that I had a bit of difficulty opening the battery compartment of the electronic cleansing device when I first got it. Given that the product is waterproof, I see why they needed to design it this way because otherwise water would just seep in. The electronic cleansing tool itself has 2 speeds (slow and medium), both are gentle on sensitive skin like mine. The skin renewal cleanser has small micro granules which worried me at first because I thought they would be rough on my skin but to my surprise they actually were very gentle!

I love how easy this product is to use. All you need to do is wet your face, apply some cleanser on your face (or the brush) and away you go with the damp brush. I recommend you spend no longer than a minute on your entire face to avoid causing irritations to your face and going overboard. I found that after using this product, my skin felt super clean and refreshed. It did not dry out my skin or irritate it which is a huge bonus for me as I did have a few breakouts from the Clarisonic.

I think that this product is comparable to the Clarisonic but they are not identical. Firstly, this one is slightly smaller and the brush rotates 360 degrees whereas the Clarisonic is more pulsing side to side.

Overall, I enjoyed having this product in my daily routine for the past few weeks and will continue using it. It feels gentle on my skin and gives it a deep clean without drying it out. I highly recommend it especially if you are considering purchasing a Clarisonic - this product is significantly cheaper (retails at $32.49 at Priceline) and does pretty much the same thing!

Have you tried any electronic cleansing devices that look similar to the Clarisonic? What did you think of them?

Disclaimer: The Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System was kindly sent to me for consideration to review. I was not paid for my review nor am I affiliated with the company in any way. My 100% honest opinion, as always :)

I've been lucky enough to receive my Clarisonic for free but frankly it's a bit overpriced. Good on Olay for coming up with an affordable version. :)

I have this, but I've never tried the Clarisonic! I really like it, but I haven't used it in a month or so! I didn't feel the need to fork out for the Clarisonic now that I have the Olay brush :)
